Recognizing a Stroke

My parents had dinner this summer with a dear friend. During the BBQ their friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

At 3:00 am my mother received a call from Ingrid's husband telling her that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ-had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke perhaps Ingrid would be with us today.

A Neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed and getting to the patient within 3 hours which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps. Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.
Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
1. *Ask the individual to SMILE.
2. *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
3. *Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today) If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

After discovering that a group of non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to learn the three questions.

They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke Association's annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage.

Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

Hehehe. Got tickets for Harry Potter for opening show. Went to watch it with my wife and my brother. Worth RM11... By the way, Mad Eye Moody is Mr. Crouch's son... :P

My Shadowcraft hunt...

So what's the deal about Shadowcraft? Shadowcraft is a set item that is designed for dagger rogue... I'm a big fan of 21/8/22 talent points and of course... I am a dagger rogue... :)

This set consists of 8 pieces of gears. They are:
1. Shadowcraft Belt
2. Shadowcraft Boots
3. Shadowcraft Bracers
4. Shadowcraft Tunic
5. Shadowcraft Spaulders
6. Shadowcraft Pants
7. Shadowcraft Gloves
8. Shadowcraft Cap

The set gives these bonuses as more pieces are worn:
3: Increased Daggers +2.
5: Increases your chance to dodge an attack by 1%.
6: Improves your chance to get a critical strike by 1%.
7: Improves your chance to hit by 2%.
8: Increases your damage dealt with offhand attacks by 4%.

After some browsing at thottbot.com, I found out that most of the set drop in Scholomance. 4 in Scholomance (boots, ,belts, bracers & cap), 2 in Stratholme (one in undead Strat - pants and one in live strat - spaulders), one in Upper Black Rock Spire (tunic) and one in Lower Black Rock Spire (gloves).

For the time being, after hours of farming and doing instances, I only managed to get 3 pieces of Shadowcraft set... Duh!

They are Shadowcraft Belt, Shadowcraft Tunic and Shadowcraft Spaulders

However, I am quite lucky though. My belt dropped on my first run. My tunic and spaulders dropped on my second run. Damn lucky! After this, I don't think they gonna drop like this anymore... Why lucky? This is because of the pathetic drop rates.

I got my belt from Blackhand Assassin. The drop rate is 4.2%. My tunic from General Drakkisath. The drop rate is 6.0 - 6.5%. My spaulders from Cannon Master Wiley. The drop rate is 7-10%.

So what are next?

Boots drops from Rattlegore (Scholo). The drop rate is 10%
Bracers drops from Dark shades, Instructor Malicia and Risen Constructs (Scholo). The drop rates are all 2%. Hm...
Cap drops from Headmaster Gandling (Scholo). The drop rate is 6.3%... blahhh
Pants drops from Baron (UD Strat). The drop rate is 8%
Gloves drops from Shadow Hunter Vosh'Gajin (LBRS). The drop rate is 8-9%

Instances ran:
Scholomance: 4 runs
UBRS: 3 runs
LBRS: 8 runs

So wish me luck or else I have to wear my Stormshroud set until Blizzard nerf those instances which is not going to happen. :(
